Jackson Moore, student at the College dies in car accident

Jackson Moore, a senior Business major at the College passed away on Nov. 30 in a single car accident. He died of injuries at the scene of the crash, according to Charleston County Chief Deputy Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal. Moore was from Isle of Palms S.C.

Moore was a member of the College’s golf team in his fourth season with the two-time defending Colonial Athletic Association-champion Cougars, according to a statement released from the College. He earned his first career start last season, at The Invitational at The Ocean Course hosted by the College on Kiawah Island.

His coach, Mark McEntire stated, “This is a sad day for our program. We lost a great friend and teammate in Jackson. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
