The Cougars played two games this weekend that ended in a difference of one point. This time the Cougars came away victorious in a final score of 56-55.

The Cougars came out slow in the first half letting the Terriers get away from them by as many as 13 points. However a 6-0 run mid way through the first half would reel in the gap between the teams and put Charleston on track to win the game.

Before leaving the first half the Cougars were able to draw in close to the Terriers and finish out the half, only down by four points, 34-30.

The Cougars were eventually able to catch up to the Terriers roughly four minutes into the second half tying the score 36-36 with a jumper by Alyssa Frye.

The teams kept a close pace with each other for the rest of the game with the score differing by no more than three points. Finally the Cougars were able to tuck away the win with run of free throw shots made by both Latisha Harris and Alexis Hicks.

Both players had a remarkable game: Harris with 16 points and nine rebounds, Hicks with 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

Jillian Brown helped the team in assists accumulating a total of 10.

The Cougars play again Monday night in the TD Arena where they take on Western Carolina.
